Not Addicted

Over the past year we've been formulating an enormous improvement to Notaddicted. For those who don't know, Notaddicted has a sister site called Redguides, and an inbred half-cousin called Cade.

The new Notaddicted brings the best of Redguides and Notaddicted together into a single sweet cup of happiness. This brave new site gleans the humor and anger of Notaddicted, while integrating the excellent strategy forums of Redguides.

Some of you may be afraid of this brave new world. Our answer to you? Give it a try, satisfaction is... probably going to happen.

Now some questions:

Why is the new site called Notaddicted and not Redguides?

Because of a pending lawsuit from the Council for Native American Indians (CNAIP).

What's with the points system?

Here at Notaddicted we want to reward you for being a snarky, worthless piece of crap that does nothing but saturate a faux leather gaming chair with butt sweat and yell at strangers behind a wall of total anonymity. Points are your Scooby Snack.

Here's how it works. Every registered user is given an allowance of one point per day. Think of this as a coin. This coin is yours to give to someone else, so spend it however you see fit.

Reasons to give someone a point:

They contributed to a forum or thread with an excellent post

They smell nice

They have spread happiness above and beyond the call of duty

Reasons to NOT give someone a point:

Pity

Points burning a hole in your pocket

They gave you a point and you don't want things to be awkward between you

Points do not roll over. You don't use it, you lose it. Buster brown.

Why can't things stay the same? I want it to be the way it was! I HATE YOU.

Wet willy for you! Life is full of changes and the sooner you accept that, the sooner the rest of us can be relieved of petty whining.

This site is much better and there's no argument. But if you just can't let go, you can click on the "Best of" button and dwell in the Notaddicted basement. From this dark lair you may trap hapless users who venture too deep, and too greedily.

What does the future hold?

So much awesomeness that it makes my butt itch, or maybe that's just a coincidence. Podcasts, massive pranks, enormous giveaways, global expos, and world domination. Your very presence on this page at this point in time is contributing to an event so amazing, so grand, that it will be forever recorded in the anus of history.
