Lolipops and SUNSHINE!
Okay. I realize I’m a pretty Negative Nancy on the site here, and it can be a drag reading me piss and moan about everything day in and day out. I try to keep a fresh load of steaming CONTENT on the front page for you guys to get yer lulz, but yeah… I tend to write in a pretty negative fashion. Not today! Today I will hereby present to you the Internet List of Things That Make Iso Happy. It might be short, but may give you insight into my tiny mind and what makes me hate everything else not on the list.
Blizz WTFPWNs Glider in Court
Posted July 16th, 2008 by Isobelle
Okay, I faxed this over to the NotAddicted Legal Department this morning, waiting for our elite swat team of attorneys-in-suspenders to take the rulings apart and offer witty insight into the American Judicial System. Somehow drawing a correlation between Glider’s parent company MDY (a.k.a “Roe”), and Blizzard’s Legal Department (a.k.a “Wade”), and then putting a Pro-Life / Anti-Apartheid spin on all of it is just out of my reach. Honestly, I’m not even sure who won Roe v. Wade, and whether I labeled the winning and losing companies correctly in my little example there, I just know that lawyer shit gets the ladies all hot and bothered, and I aim to please.
Snorehammer to Launch Unfinished
Posted July 15th, 2008 by Isobelle
Well, well, well! It seems as though EAMythic is having problems with the content in their big upcoming MMO title Warhammer Online. Apparently, two thirds of the much lauded RvR locations in the game are dull and boring, and will therefore be not included in the version that people end up buying. The devs themselves acknowledge “…we looked at the Greenskin home, the Dwarf home and we went ‘there’s an awful lot to do here and there are some issues‘”. While the logical thing to do would be to wait until the game is ready to launch before launching it, apparently AoC has given everyone the green light to just release unfinished product, and hope that the subscribers don’t notice things like the fact that four out of six major RvR conflict zones are not playable.
Wiimote + AoC = ?
Posted July 15th, 2008 by Isobelle
Reader Thules posted in one of my patented Conan Complain-o-Fests about how he was tempted to rig up his wiimote for Wiisports style melee sword swinging action to pull off combos. Call me crazy, but that actually sounds like it would be kinda sweet! Well, for proof of concept anyway. I imagine once I’d done it for an hour or so, I’d be back to finding myself bored with the game itself, but it turns out there’s a whole project in full swing to get this wiimote thing realized.
New Hunter Love on Wowhead
Posted July 14th, 2008 by Isobelle
I may be a little late on this, but I basically just noticed that Wowhead has a few cool additions for hunters on its site. They've added a few little features for pets; what kinds there are, what skills they can get, where to get them, along with rudimentary pet talent calculators. Check out the full text for a few screencaps, or just quit being a lazy ass and go check it out yourself.
The $2000 iPhone is Stupid
Posted July 14th, 2008 by Isobelle
The iPhone just launched in Japan, much to the delight of hip young Japanese people everywhere. These same people are apparently tired of setting 10,000 yen notes on fire, and have broken their toilets by flushing money down them, so now they are flocking to Softbank outlets by the dozen to snatch up the latest overpriced American fad.
Notaddicted's Exclusive Diablo 3 REVIEW
Posted July 1st, 2008 by Thornbut
The above title is not a misprint, over the past weekend Notaddicted was privy to a first time world-exclusive preview of Diablo 3. After hours of footage viewing and .jpg enlarging, I feel more than qualified to release a review of Blizzard's brand new (upcoming) title.
