I keep hearing murmurs in the industry; insiders are beginning to ask the question, "Is the PC gaming industry beginning to stagnate?" Of course not. With another E3 gone, one need only look at what has been shown to us to determine how much PC gaming is thriving. There's certainly lots of fresh ideas out there just waiting to be picked. Obviously, there needs to be some games made about World War II. Yeah, I think reenacting D-Day would be sweet. There really aren't enough games that glorify war on the market. In fact, there should to be more games with the words "Rise" and "War" and "Call" in the title. I was thinking maybe 'Rise Of The Call Of World Of Lords Of Hammer Wars Online' sounded pretty catchy.

That way nobody is alienated.

Speaking of aliens, it's a known fact that the idea for having aliens in a storyline has been neglected for far too long. What we really need to have is a game about a guy who's stuck on a space ship of alien bugs. I'll explain since it's just too wild of an idea to fathom. You see, there's this space ship, and it's filled with crazy bug-like creatures. Wait, no, an underground nest of bug like creatures that want to take over the planet, and then there's this guy who shoots the bug creatures.

You play the guy.

You know what would be awesome as a character idea? A tough guy! I say the gaming industry really needs an anti-hero with a deep voice, a five-o-clock shadow, and a big gun. With his futuristic body armor and a bad attitude, the world is his FSR.

Forget about spending time and money to make a strong female character in a top-notch shooter. What we need, are some shooters with non-playable female characters who’ll sit back in the helicopter while helping and directing the playable male characters. I’m thinking it should be someone who never shoots anything, and who wears a thin leather body suit that has absolutely no armor protection whatsoever. This character must remain calm at all times, except for when she yells things like, “Be careful!” Or, “Hurry!”

Under no circumstances should this character speak or act like a combat soldier; she must act like a kindegarten teacher instead.

How about some games about building little cities and developing them over decades and centuries? You’ll start out with native people and some land, and you make them gather, hunt, farm, build, and raise armies. Then you’ll burn down other people’s villages and take them over.

We could call it Age of Rising Civilized Empires.

I also had this idea for some games that feature elves, orcs, and dwarves. Make things original and fresh by adding the classes of spell casters, sword wielders, and archers! You know, I was also thinking that you could do some kind of fantasy theme. Just get people hooked into playing it by having levels and experience obtained through endless hours of game play. Keep adding more levels and loot once every six months to a year. Best of all, you can dress them up in little outfits!

With all of these wild and wacky ideas, what’s going to happen next in PC gaming industry? I wonder if someone will try and make a turn-based combat game about dungeon crawling adventurers some time in the distant future. Oh—I know, maybe a game where you're flying an airplane from one part of the country to another.

I know it’s all a real stretch, but a gamer has to dream, right?

I bought a xbox 360 for 399$, its given me a bunch of great games that were unaccessable on the PC, and the ability to pick up any new game for the platform and pop it in no questions asked.

I got overlord for the PC, and it ran like crap.... okay, picked up the 360 and sat down and played... its the same fcking game.

I love battlefield 2142, and used to play action half-life nigh on religiously and won my share of tournaments for the game.

Theres just not that many compelling PC games these days... im sorry but if everyones idea of a innovative exciting shooter is CS

.... meh. CS

is bland enough to not offend anyone ergo it wins the most popular award.

I paid 583$ (with shipping, tax) for a Foxconn 8800GTX. It probably wont give me nearly as much bang for my buck as the 360.

And fuck, Ive worked on developing a couple of game projects and LOVED games like baldurs gate 2, icewind dale, planescape, halflife, etc... but where are they now? When I picked up splinter cell double agent for pc it was a buggy piece of crap port

Between that and any MMO I end up playing... toss in BF2 for any downtime, and I'm honestly pretty well covered on games.

Don't forget the ass in the big boob game. I am tired of game artists forgetting how important it is for a girl to have a nice round ass to match her gargantuan sweater meat. Especially considering in most First Person/Third Person Shooter types I will spend much more time staring at the backside of the broad. These folks need to prioritize ! Bitches.

I think it's bullshit discrimination personally. The goddamned tit-men are trying to leave the ass-men hanging out to dry. Just because there are more guys obsessed with breasts than there are those obsessed with asses doesn't mean that the lovely female ass should not get its fair share of attention when designing character models.
